And the Mets were Worried about Pedro’s Arm!
Peter Schiller | Apr 02, 2008 | Comments 1
The NY Mets are sure glad they got Johan Santana today as Pedro Martinez told manager Willie Randolph that he might have heard a “pop” in his hammy on that last pitch he threw. Barring a miracle, it looks as if Mr. Martinez might be going back on the DL. The question is, will it be the 15 day variety or longer? Good thing they didn’t trade Jorge Sosa as some reports in the past few weeks had speculated.
This puts the Phillies in a better position to contend in the NL East. Yes, it’s that close in this division folks! But to be a serious contender, the Phillies will still need some bullpen help, that’s for sure.
