After nagging injuries this year that have forced him to move across the diamond, Rangers new 1B (and former 3B) Hank Blalock find his way back to this list in the last week of the season. He finished by hitting 4 HRs with a BA of .400 and an OBP of .444

Bad elbow and all, Albert the “great” finishes another possible MVP year by hitting 3 HRs, knocking in 10 runs while hitting .588 with an OBP of .680 to finish off the year.

His Cardinals teammate, 2B Felipe Lopez follows right behind Pujols by scoring 10 runs, stealing a base and hitting .548 last week.

Helping the Rays stay on top of the AL East was SS Ben Zobrist by hitting 4 HRs with a .455 average and getting on base in half of last week’s at bats.

Cardinals OF Ryan Ludwick ended his year the way he started it, on fire! In his final week of 2008, he hit 3 HRs, knocked in 10 RBIs while hitting .429 with a .520 OBP.

The remaining men on this final top 10 list are Rockies 2B Clint Barmes (2 HR/SB, .333/.391 BA/OBP); Reds rookie 1B Joey Votto (3 HR, .500/.533 BA/OBP); Seattle SS Yunis Betancourt (1 HR/SB .467/.500 BA/OBP); Marlins OF Josh Willingham (4 HR .407 OBP) and Indians OF who’s actually Korean, Shin-Soo Choo (1 HR .304/.360 BA/OBP).
