Maddon doesn't really need to do anything for Sonnanstine's nerves. He's like a young Jon Lieber, he's just not intimidated by anyone, and he never shies away from pitching around the zone. He's had his ups and downs, like most young pitchers, but I think his upside is higher than a #3, given his mental makeup and knowledge of pitching. Stuff be damned.
