Nice story. I interviewed Fingers for a local newspaper after he made a promotional appearance for the Sacramento River Cats, the Oakland Athletics' Triple-A affiliate. On one hand, it was a big thrill to get to sit down with a Hall of Fame member and the trademark handlebar mustache was pretty cool. With that said, I found Fingers somewhat dull. The most interesting thing that came out of the interview was that Fingers didn't know who Huston Street was, when I told him he had broken one of his A's team records. Other than that, all of his answers to my questions seemed very pat, by the book.

Thanks for the comment!

This is one of my favorite interviews we've done on Baseball Reflections.

For those of you that have read the book, what was your favorite section or story/fact?

For those of you that have not read the book, what was your favorite part of this interview?
