		<description>Wiliams and DiMaggio might well have attained numbers close to
what you projected.  Feller might have fallen short.  I have suspected that missing those war years actually allowed Feller to
enjoy the success he did in the late &#039;40&#039;s.  He had pitched so many
innings since his late teens, with so many strikeouts and walks, that had he continued uninterrupted through the early &#039;40&#039;s, he
might have been finished by the age of 30 or31.  As it was, his last
really dominant year was at age 32.</description>
