At the Open Mobile Summit (via ZDNet.com) in San Francisco, MLB.com CEO Bob Bowman talks about optimizing mobile applications in a world with network congestion. He says, the company considers file size and network congestion and adjusts bit rates accordingly when streaming live baseball events to its mobile users.
