He doesn't have the counting totals to necessarily compete with the other players of his era, but when you compare him to other catchers he's certainly one of the best. He may not pass the initial smell test, but I'm a "big hall" kind of guy and think Posada should be in. However, this is why we wait 5 years before induction. At the very least, I am looking forward to what should be an ongoing conversation regarding his HOF candidacy Posada’s HOF case is a really tough one for me.
