At one point there was thought of canceling the 2019 Caribbean World Series as viewed the political turmoil-taking place in Venezuela where it was to be originally held for 2019.

Then last minute switched to Panama! For the country it was a blessing! They had Three Things in their favor!

1-Mariano Rivera first Major League Baseball player elected unanimously to the Baseball Hall of Fame, and MLB greatest relief pitcher threw out the first ball! 2-The game was played at the stadium dedicated to HALL OF FAMER AND fellow Panama Rod Carew.

3-They was playing on their own home turf! Big advantage.

Team Panama bought the spirit of Mariano Rivera in the final game when their pitching allowed team Cuba just one run. The spirit of Carew was there as their consistent hitting came thru scoring three runs, For this year they were participating in the series and gave the their fellow countrymen/women a fine performance.

Celebrating with 3-1 victory over team Cuba this past Sunday February 10th 2019. Last time Panama won a series was back in 1960.

In Baseball normally when miracle team plays a championship game in their own ballpark there’s success. We’ve seen this in 1960 World Series PITTSBURGH PIRATES OVER NY YANKEES, 1969 WORLD SERIES NY METS OVER THE Baltimore Orioles, 2001 WORLD SERIES Arizona Diamondbacks over NY Yankees, 1997 Miami Marlins over Cleveland Indians. History repeats itself again.
