DEFEATING MEXICO 1-0, PUERTO RICO 2017 CARIBBEAN WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!

ARRIBA!!!!! PALANTE!!!!

It was almost like seeing a Boxing match between boxing legends Wilfredo Gomez (Puerto Rico) vs Julio Cesar Chavez (Mexico). By the Ninth inning no runs scored!

Then in the top of the Tenth Inning team Puerto Rico gets a double, a sacrifice bunt and then sacrifice fly winning run!

The final score: Puerto Rico 1 Mexico 0. Some facts team Mexico had a high batting average going into the game and Puerto Rico had some difficult times scoring runs prior to the last three games they outscored and out hit their last three opponents.

The real heroes of the game was PR’s Fielding and Pitching staff which allowed only 4 hits all of them singles. The spirit of the Four PUERTO RICANS IN THE HALL OF FAME: ROBERTO CLEMENTE, ORLANDO CEPEDA, ROBERTO ALOMAR, AND NEWLY ELECTED IVAN RODRIGUEZ was alive and well! As the fireworks display show went the announcers shouted proudly: “Que Viva El Baseball”(Long live Baseball in Latin America)
