(2) Gio Gonzalez has baffled opposing hitters in his last nine starts. The left-hander has pitched 58 IP/ 26H/ 10ER/ 22BB/ 73K. Gonzalez trails the top spot by only .407 points.
(3) Aroldis Chapman continues to dominate the opposition. The Cincinnati Reds left-hander has not allowed an earned run in 26 innings this season. Chapman has locked down the closing role in the Queen City.
(4) James McDonald has posted a career best 2.20 ERA and 0.96 WHIP through his first 10 starts of the 2012 campaign. The Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander has quietly moved up the F12 ranking during the past few weeks.
