On Aug. 18, 1934, Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente was born.
This month, his spirit was with Team Puerto Rico as it won the Senior League Softball
Championship defeating Team Delaware in their own backyard by the score of 6-4.
The flag of Puerto Rico was put together by women. Top entertainers, poets and writers are of Puerto Rican descent. Also, women played a major role in the struggle for Puerto Rican independence!
There are three Puerto Rican in the Baseball Hall of Fame: Roberto Clemente, Orlando Cepeda and Roberto Alomar!
This victory shows baseball is still alive and well on the island nation.
Palante! Arriba! Congrats!
