The Arizona Winter League (AWL) which is a part of the Golden Baseball League (GBL) will host not one, but two women “baseball” players this season. The first is 17 year old Japanese knuckleball pitcher Eri Yoshida. For more details on her addition into the AWL can be read HERE. When she was drafted into the Japanese professional league as a 16 year old we learned that her knuckleball was inspired by Boston‘s Tim Wakefield.
But wait, that’s not all! Tiffany Brooks, former professional softball player and world traveler will be joining Eri this winter. To read Eric Angevine‘s interview with Tiffany, go here.
What do you all think about the women playing professional baseball if they are good enough? Add your comments and don’t be shy!
