The Factor12 Rating (F12) is an analytic measurement utilizing league average performance to compare the value of all MLB pitchers on 60ft6in.com.

 

(1) Justin Verlander retains the number one position despite allowing 5ER on Thursday night against the Cleveland Indians.  The 2011 AL Cy Young award winner leads MLB with a 31.105 F12 Rating.

 

(2) R.A. Dickey continues to hold the silver medal position.  The knuckleball specialist currently sports a 13-2 record, 2.97 ERA, and 1.03 WHIP.

 

(3) Felix Hernandez is pitching like the king.  The Seattle Mariners ace leads the AL in strikeouts following his latest gem against the New York Yankees.

 

(4) Stephen Strasburg continues to amaze on the mound.  The right-hander leads the NL with 151 strikeouts and operation shutdown is quickly approaching.

 

(5) Chris Sale rounds out the Top 5 list with a 29.996 F12 Rating.  The Chicago White Sox southpaw is currently 11-2, 2.37 ERA, and 1.01 WHIP.
