The Factor12 Rating (F12) is an analytic measurement utilizing league average performance to compare the value of all MLB pitchers on 60ft6in.com.

(1) Clayton Kershaw is the new F12 Rating leader.  The 2011 NL Cy Young Award winner currently paces the Senior Circuit with 206.67 IP, 206 strikeouts, and 1.016 WHIP.

 

(2) Justin Verlander retains the second position despite allowing 6ER in his last start against the Los Angeles Angels.  The 2011 AL Cy Young trails the F12 top position by just 0.113 points.

 

(3) Felix Hernandez drops two spots following his worst outing of the season against the Toronto Blue Jays (4IP/7ER).  “The King” leads MLB with 212.67 IP and 5 SHO.

 

(4) R.A. Dickey remains steady in the fourth position.  The knuckleball specialist currently holds an 18-5 record, 2.68 ERA, 1.044 WHIP.

 

(5) Gio Gonzalez rounds out the Top 5 list with a 30.112 F12 Rating.  The southpaw leads the NL with 6.8 H/9 and 0.4 HR/9.
