MEXICO’S PITCHING PROVES GOOD PITCHING STOPS GOOD HITTING
Team Puerto Rico hasn’t shown consistent hitting during the 2017 Caribbean World Series. Yet the spirit of Roberto Clemente is above them cause this past Feb 4th they defeated team Dominican Republic 10-2 and this past February 6th they outscored team Venezuela 9-6.
Mexico’s pitching was more like “Fernando mania” this past Feb 6th Monday night. Team Mexico scored just one run in the bottom of the 5th inning. To add provided good defense, and the pitching allowed just 2 hits defeating team Cuba 1-0 advancing to the finals against Puerto Rico.
Major League Baseball has a saying “Good Pitching stops Good Hitting” after watching team Mexico’s performance tonight they seem to be a slight favorite to stop Puerto Rico’s offense. Yet in Baseball anything is possible.
