The Factor12 Rating (F12) is an analytic measurement utilizing league average performance to compare the value of all MLB pitchers on 60ft6in.com.

 

(1) Justin Verlander retains the number one spot following his latest outing (8IP/2ER) against the Kansas City Royals.  The 2011 AL Cy Young leads MLB with 231.33 IP.

 

(2) Felix Hernandez stays in the second position following another quality performance (6IP/2ER) against the Los Angeles Angels.  “The King” leads MLB with five shutouts.

 

(3) R.A. Dickey moves up one spot following his latest gem against the Pittsburgh Pirates.  The knuckleball specialist holds a 20-6 record, 2.69 ERA, 1.05 WHIP.

 

(4) Clayton Kershaw drops one spot this week.  The 2011 NL Cy Young Award winner continues to pitch through a hip injury in quest of the post season.

 

(5) David Price rounds out the list with a 30.265 F12 Rating.  The left-hander makes his first appearance on the F12 Top 5 this season.
