The Factor12 Rating (F12) is an analytic measurement utilizing league average performance to compare the value of all MLB pitchers on 60ft6in.com.

(1) Justin Verlander retains the number one position following a rain-shortened performance against the Boston Red Sox.  The 2011 AL Cy Young award winner leads MLB with a 30.872 F12 Rating.

(2) R.A. Dickey once again earns the silver medal.  The knuckleball specialist currently holds a 14-2 record, 2.83 ERA, and 1.03 WHIP.

(3) Felix Hernandez is the last remaining reason to watch a Seattle Mariners game.  The ace right-hander leads the AL in strikeouts following his latest start against the Kansas City Royals.

(4) Aroldis Chapman continues to dominate the ninth inning.  The left-hander has struck out a mind-boggling 96 batters in 51.67 IP.

(5) Clayton Kershaw rounds out the Top 5 list with a 30.129 F12 Rating.  The Los Angeles Dodgers southpaw is currently 8-6, 2.95 ERA, and 1.06 WHIP.
